Our first Fall Stroke Recovery Burlington Meeting will be on September 25th at 12 Noon

Updated: Sep 16

Welcome back to a new & exciting year with Stroke Recovery Burlington.   We are extremely overjoyed to say that 28 new members  have joined our chapter since we have come back to in person meetings in September of 2022.  Throughout the lockdown our chapter stayed active with zoom meetings each month.  I stayed in contact with the Halton/Peel Aphasia program, Wellness House, Hamilton/Burlington Stroke Network and the MOD After Stroke Programs.  A lot of it is just word of mouth from existing members.  We have had inquiries from our website as well as an interest  from our brochures.   MOD was also able to restart the JBH visitation program.   Please keep passing on how great an experience of our chapter can give you.

As our chapter has so many new members, we have decided at the September meeting we would like to go around to each table and have you  introduce yourself.   Are you a stroke survivor, caregiver, family member ?  How did you hear about our chapter and how long have you been a member ?  If there is enough time, we would love it if you could tell us what you did over the summer holidays.

I will be collecting the yearly family membership fee of  $25.  This covers all meeting lunches, our Festive Christmas lunch, and all events/outings that our chapter will be offering.  We accept cash or cheque payable to : March of Dimes Canada. In the memo field: SR Burlington Membership Fee.  I hear that  MOD is working on adding  e-transfers as a choice of payment.

Please let me know Yes I can attend or No I cannot attend  as we are continuing to order individual lunches from Marilu’s Market.

I’m so excited to see all of you on the 25th.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
